This week for “Mount farm Monday” we took on Tsukuyumi! As most of us had never tried it before it took us a few tries to get the mechanics right, but after that it was smooth sailing and we even had a few mounts drop!
Thanks to everyone who came and we’re planning to go for Byakko next week!
As many of you playing the game will likely know, patch 5.1 has now been released. This patch added quite a lot of new content, but it also added a new 24-person raid, “The Copied Factory”.
We alway try and do these as an FC each week, but this time we tried to do it as ONLY an FC run! We didn’t quite manage to get all 24 people to be members of our FC (it was a bit late in the day for a few people), but thanks to our FC members, some friendly ex-FC members and friends of the FC… we not only went in as a full alliance, but we finished it as well!
Most of us were going in blind which was both chaotic, but also a lot of fun. We did wipe once on the 3rd boss, but that was more because on the first try we didn’t have any markers and there was some confusion when the adds spawned.
Thanks to everyone who came today and made it an amazing evening!
We’re still doing our treasure map runs every Sunday, but we’re now alternating the time from afternoon to evening to try and make it more flexible for our FC members.
This week we did an afternoon run and although we didn’t make a massive amount of money (330k Gil each), we did make it to the end once so that’s better than nothing!
Monday is now now being known as “Mount Farm Monday” and today 7 of us tackled Zurvan Extreme. We were prepared to do it 99 times, but thankfully it only took about half of that for everyone to get the Demonic Lannder bird mount!
But even better, that Demonic Lanner was the last “bird” mount that 4 of us needed, so we were able to do the sidequest to get the Firebird!
We haven’t picked what we’re farming next week yet, but it’ll probably be one of the Stormblood “Dog” mounts!
This evening the FC got together to farm the Arrhidaeus mount from Alexander: The Soul of the Creator Savage!
It took us a few tries to get the hang of the mechanics (the ones we couldn’t skip), but after that it went quite smoothly and everyone who came got a mount.
Thanks to you all, especially those that didn’t even need it and were just helping out!
A few FC members have been getting together to tackle all Eden’s Gate (Savage) tiers and have made new progress today in clearing Eden’s Gate: Decent (Savage). Also known as the horrible one of this tier. When we first started it was a lot to take in at first and there were so many deaths before reaching the first Hand of Erebos. We stuck through it, had a few personel changes and stuck to it. We eventually got it down to 1% and the dreaded enrage mechanic (A healers worst nightmare). Came back with a new group, 2 Samurai, 2 Dancers, 1 Gunbreaker, 1 Warrior, 1 White Mage, 1 Scholar and got it down to 0.7%. Which is when I came up with the idea both Dancers should buff each other and it paid off, we got it down to 0.1% with just one death due to ping. Another run but this time no deaths and we cleared it, everyone felt relieved knowing we had finally killed Voidwalker (I don’t reccomend it to anyone). Now onwards to Leviathan… Leviathan Leviathan Send us!
FC Members: Blithesome Carl, Primatus Soprey, Aluette Laurent, Qordog Pensildic and Caim Lucii.
Friends of the static and new members: Miko Fennex, Farsuya Flair and Badga Badgarok.
We tried moving our weekly treasure maps to a later timeslot to better suit our members. I’ve no idea if that contributed, but we had a lot of good luck so like the title says, we’ve probably used it all up now!
Nearly every map popped a portal and we finished the dungeon not once, but twice!! Wow! We also found out something interesting, if you stand outside the arena when someone opens the door, it doesn’t lock you in place so you can run around while they’re in the cutscene! 😀
In just two hours we each managed to make 665k Gil and that’s not including the few pieces of Fireglass Leather that also dropped!
Quite a few of our members are on holidays at the moment, but 7 of us still got together to do some treasure maps.
We had a lot of bad luck and hardly saw any portals, but when we did we got quite lucky, including getting right to the end one time!
We thought that it wasn’t going to be very successful, but in the end we still made 519,000 Gil each. That’s also not including any drops that we got, not bad for a few hours!
Two groups of FC members set off with treasure maps and we had a really productive afternoon! Not only did both groups manage to complete Lyhe Ghiah, but one group made approximately 484,000 Gil each and the other a really nice 620,000 Gil each. That doesn’t include the value of any drops either – not bad for just a few hours work!
And there’s more… we had one of the higher/lower games of chance… and we completed that as well!
Thanks to everyone that came and let’s see if we can do even better next week!
